Develop the knowledge and understanding needed to support environmental sustainability and contribute to a greener future.
This qualification is designed to help you develop knowledge and understanding of environmental sustainability and the actions needed to protect the environment. You will explore a range of topics linked to global sustainability challenges, including climate change, carbon reduction, conservation and responsible energy use.
The course supports you in understanding how individuals, communities and organisations can contribute to sustainable practices. Studying online gives you the flexibility to learn at a time and pace that suits your work or home commitments, while still receiving structured support from experienced tutors.
What you’ll cover:
- Principles of sustainable communities
- Principles of sustainable development
- Principles of sustainable energy management
- Principles of sustainable transport
- Principles of waste management
- Social responsibility of businesses in relation to sustainability
For each unit, you will complete a set of knowledge-based questions as part of the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback after each unit. All assessments must be completed and passed to successfully achieve the qualification.

Level 1 or equivalent English language qualification required.
