Beginner’s drawing class. Using still-life objects, learn the basics of drawing skill – scale, proportion, tone and mark-making. Using still life objects… vases, vessels, fruit and veg, develop observation drawing skills. You will be taught how to draw, drawing to scale, understand portions and will be introduced to a variety a drawing media.

The course will cover

  • Basic principles of drawing – scale, proportion and tone
  • Using a variety of media – pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink
  • Mark-making techniques – hatching and crosshatching methods
