Counselling Skills Level 2 Certificate

Develop essential counselling skills to support others and enhance your communication in everyday life and work.

This qualification is designed to introduce you to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, along with the key approaches that underpin effective practice.

You will develop greater self-awareness, improve your listening and communication skills, and learn how counselling skills can be used ethically and appropriately in a range of settings. Studying online allows you to learn at a time and pace that suits your work or home commitments, while receiving structured support from experienced tutors.

  • Identifying and accessing support
  • Core counselling skills
  • Demonstrating counselling skills
  • Introduction to counselling skills and theories
  • Diversity and ethics

For each unit, you will complete a set of knowledge-based questions as the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback after each unit. All assessments must be completed and passed to successfully achieve the qualification.

Entry Requirements

Level 1 or equivalent English language qualification required.

All learning materials are provided online. You will need access to a computer or laptop and a reliable internet connection.
