Progression to Learning and Work Students Enjoy Visit

Recently, a group of Progression to Learning and Work students took a fantastic trip to nearby Harwes Farm!

Harwes Farm CIC, located in moorland on the Yorkshire-Lancashire border, is a community focused initiative established with the aim of creating a space that encourages community, learning and personal growth.

Students spent the day reflooring a polytunnel and doing some maintenance on the raised beds at the farm.

They also had a brilliant time meeting Shaun the sheep and friends and thoroughly tiring out Marnie the dog (as you can see!).

Michael McGrath, Learning and Wellbeing Adviser said, “We had a great day on Harwes Farm. A big thank you to all the students for being wonderful ambassadors for Craven College!”

Jemma Crozier, Head of Department added, “Learning beyond the classroom gives learners the space to reconnect, build confidence, and support their wellbeing, helping them to re-engage and thrive!”
