The National Student Survey (NSS) 2024 was completed by almost half a million students, and results for Craven College beat the sector benchmark in most areas.

The NSS is a high-profile annual survey which gives students the opportunity to give honest feedback on their experiences at university or college. It is published yearly and is a key component of the quality assurance and wider regulatory landscape in UK higher education.

Students particularly value the teaching and learning at the College with 90% of students agreeing the teaching was good, whilst 93% thought that teaching staff made the subject engaging.

93% of respondents thought that their course had developed the skills and knowledge needed for their future. A further 90% rated the College highly for academic support, whilst 89% praised the College’s system for assessment and feedback.

HE Manager Gillian Thom commented, “Staff at Craven College value and support students at an individual level and it is brilliant to see that their hard work is recognised and appreciated by the students. I look forward to celebrating further at Graduation in September.”

There are still places available for September on our Young Children’s Learning and Development Degree, HNC in Performing Arts and our various Aviation Degrees. To find out more about studying your Degree at Craven College, please visit our Degree page for further information.
