A great academic year of community learning drew to a close with a celebration event at the Highfield Community Centre in Keighley.
In a lovely afternoon attended by members of the College’s community education team and Craven College Principal and CEO, Anita Lall, learners were given the opportunity to come together and celebrate their achievements.
Certificates were given out to attendees together with Craven College bags and pens and then all attendees enjoyed light refreshments and a chance to chat with other guests.
Mel Cairns, Head of Adult Education said, “We are extremely proud of our learners as they have shown that they have the commitment and determination needed to achieve qualifications; all whilst dealing with family, work, and some challenging responsibilities. Our tutors at Craven College build a fantastic rapport with their learners and give the most amazing individualised support, so it is a real team effort. I look forward to following these learners on the next step of their learning journey.”
Anita Lall, Principal and CEO added, “I was honoured and delighted to attend the event to celebrate the achievement of the students that studied at the Highfields Community Centre. Being at the heart of our communities is really important to the College and I saw and heard this first-hand at the event.
It was a real pleasure talking to students and hearing the positive impact that their courses have had on them, their family, and communities.
Congratulations and well done to all the students and a huge thank you to the Highfields Community Centre and Craven College staff for supporting the classes throughout the year.”
