School Leavers' Enrolment - Business

Business Induction week: 02 – 06 September 2024

Term officially starts: 09 September 2024

Business

Please make sure that you are ready for College. We expect students to come prepared with paper, pens, pencils, and a folder.

You are about to enter the exciting world of Business – our programmes are designed to challenge you and inspire you to work hard in order to achieve a fantastic career.

Work Experience

As part of your course, you will be expected to undertake an unpaid work placement. All we ask at this stage is that you start to investigate options. Consider what area of business you would like to try – marketing, finance, retail etc. Research what businesses are in your local area, who do you know who may be able to help – remember everything is a business.

Trips

Opportunity to join the ABTA Disneyland Paris Convention in January 2025 – approx £600 (more information at induction). This 4-day (3-night) visit will look at how Disney markets its product and the customer service it provides with a small project to complete.

Paying for food and drinks on campus – Upay – our new payment system

From September 2024, you will be able to pay for your school meals with your College ID badge, simply swipe your badge at the tills!

Students with free school meal eligibility will automatically have their ‘free school meal’ balance topped up to their College ID badge, making it easier and quicker to pay for your meals on campus.

Students who do not qualify for free school meals will also be able to pay for meals this way, simply download the Upay app and add credit to your account. Further details will be given when you enrol.

Cash and bank card are still accepted for any food/drink purchase.
