Hair Professional Apprenticeship

Hairdressing Professionals provide a wide range of hair services while delivering exceptional customer care. Working in salons of all sizes, from independent businesses to large high-street salons, they use their creativity, technical skills and professionalism to help clients achieve their desired look.

Throughout the programme, learners develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to consult with clients, recommend suitable services and create a variety of hairstyles using cutting, colouring, styling and finishing techniques. They learn how to work safely, professionally and confidently while meeting industry standards and client expectations.

Hairdressers build strong relationships with clients, using excellent communication and consultation skills to understand individual needs and provide personalised advice on hair care, products and styling. They also develop retail and promotional skills to support salon success and enhance the customer experience.

Working both independently and as part of a salon team, apprentices learn the importance of professionalism, creativity, teamwork and continuous professional development. They take ownership of their work, manage their time effectively and strive to deliver high-quality results with every client.

On completion, learners will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to work confidently as a professional hairdresser, delivering a wide range of cutting, colouring and styling services while providing outstanding client care.
