T Levels

We will be delivering brand new T Level qualifications from September 2024!

T Levels are a 2-year qualification that you can do as an alternative to A Levels, other post-16 courses or an Apprenticeship. They bring classroom learning and an extended industry placement together on a course designed with businesses and employers.


Technical Level courses Equivalent to 3 A Levels


Developed in collaboration with employers and businesses


2 year courses


Mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience


Industry placement of at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days)


Acquire the knowledge and experience needed for skilled employment, further study or a Higher Apprenticeship

About T Levels

  • You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look for
  • T Levels involve more classroom study than Apprenticeships, which means you can experience an industry while you continue your studies
  • Assessment is through a combination of externally set exams, assessments and coursework
  • One T Level takes 2 years of full-time study and is equivalent to 3 A Levels. Once complete you can continue your studies and progress to university
