Freshers Welcomed to College with Fair!
Our newest intake of students was welcomed to our Aireville Campus and The Aviation Academy with the annual Freshers’ Fair, an opportunity to meet their peers, tutors, and students from other years alongside a range of invited guests.

Freshers at The Aviation Academy were able to visit and chat to representatives from The Samaritans, Talk About Trust, Cyber Prevent Team, 3rd Skipton Scouts Group, Simon on the Streets, RAF, VNE Aviation, IDAS, and Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies.
Whilst on our Aireville Campus, students could speak with representatives from The Samaritans, Talk About Trust, Salvation Army, Skipton Baptist Youth Church, the RAF, Cyber Prevent Team, North Yorkshire Police, Living Well, BDCFT NHS Trust Wellbeing Champions, Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies, North Yorkshire Youth Limited, North Yorkshire Fire Service, City of Sanctuary, Rotary Club, IDAS, YorSexual Health, Craven Community Boxing Club, and 3rd Skipton Scout Group.
Alongside the opportunity to discuss contacts, services and careers students could turn their hand to bun decorating, “hook a sheep/horse,” face painting, henna, and glitter tattoos, whilst enjoying treats from an ice-cream van or the chocolate fountain!
Victoria Alderson, Enrichment Officer said, “The Freshers’ Fair was a true success — a joyful celebration where students were engaged, polite, and full of energy. Their enthusiasm and warmth impressed our stakeholders, while the smooth organisation made the event both fun and valuable for everyone involved!”

Rosemary Simpson, Student Services Manager added, “Our 2025 Freshers’ Fair was a fantastic success today. With over 20 enthusiastic stallholders joining us to connect with our students in a fun and informative event, the day offered a wide range of support and career opportunities, and we were incredibly proud of how polite, engaged, and proactive our students were throughout.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our students, staff and stakeholders in celebrating this community event at Craven College.”
