Celebrations Continue in New Academic Year
Returning and new students and staff welcomed the new academic year with a nod to our year of celebrations.

2025 has proved to be a true year of celebrations for Craven College, as The Aviation Academy celebrated its 20th anniversary with cake! Students and staff baked and decorated buns which were cleverly themed.
Summer saw the end of our fabulous campaign which saw our latest staff members Woolly and Whinny visit 200 locations; Woolly staying local and visiting locations close to our College and deep within the hearts of our communities, whilst globetrotting Whinny has jetted off and travelled far and wide! You might have met Woolly at Sheep Day and taken part in our “Where’s Woolly” competition!

Travel and Tourism put on a true collaborative effort to produce 200 flags to display in our Pen-y-ghent building. This huge project showcased just how effectively all year groups can work together with Levels 2 and 3 together with the Level 1 pathway.

Alongside our celebrations, life carried on at Craven College with a student taking part in a pioneering programme, freshers welcomed to campus with a Freshers’ Fair, Esports, IT and Media students visiting Leeds Digital Careers Fair, Sport and Equine students hearing a fascinating talk from a guest speaker, and Performing Arts taking to the stage, whilst another student had the experience of a lifetime. Finally we celebrated our class of 2025 in our annual graduation ceremony.
September, of course, brings the culmination of our enrolment period – and gives us time to contemplate that students have been enrolling with us for 200 years. That’s certainly something to celebrate!
We currently have no courses running this academic year.
