Level 3 Performing Arts students were entertained recently when the Arden Performing Arts Touring Show came into Craven College to wow them with a theatre and performance piece around ‘SOS’.

Using ten instructions given to them at the beginning of the process the Arden Company developed a highly entertaining piece, which had Craven students laughing, as well as, pondering the theme of ‘loneliness’. These instructions included: The use of fabric/ 14th April/Moral Panic and a very humorous depiction of synchronised swimming.

Arden’s Touring Show is part of Arden School of Theatre, a drama school based in Manchester, providing degrees and masters level education, that trains actors, dancers, singers, performers and theatre makers of the future.

After the highly engaging performance, the students took part in a Q&A session and delved into the ideas, stimulus and staging further.
