Reporting Absence
If you’re a full time student at Craven College Aireville or Auction Mart campus and need to report an absence, please follow these steps:
1. Notify Before 9am
Report your absence by 9:00am
on the day you’ll be absent.
2. Choose a Reporting Method

3. Provide the Required Information
Include the following details when reporting your absence:
Student Number:
Your unique student ID.
Full Name:
As registered with the college.
Reason for Absence:
Briefly explain why you are absent (e.g. Illness, family emergency).
You must contact the absence line every day you are absent unless you’ve provided evidence in advance.
Be aware that you or your parent/guardian (if under 19) may be contacted as part of an attendance check.
Unauthorised Absences
If you fail to report your absence or provide an unjustified reason, it will be marked as unauthorised. You and your parent/guardian will be notified. Repeated absences may result in an attendance board meeting, leading to possible disciplinary action or withdrawal from the college.
Medical Appointments
Make appointments outside college hours where possible. If you need to attend a medical appointment (e.g., doctor, hospital, dental), speak to your tutor beforehand and provide evidence of the appointment. If an emergency appointment has been made, then please log your absence on the absence line or email.
