This week, we were delighted to be part of the Skipton Business Awards, attending a wonderful ceremony at Skipton Town Hall.
Skipton Business Awards, organised and hosted by Skipton Bid, aims to showcase the best of the Skipton business community, whilst providing an opportunity to celebrate quality and excellent service.
Craven College were honoured to sponsor this year’s Health and Wellbeing Business of the Year Award, and offer our congratulations to award winners, Holistic House Skipton.
Work Experience students from College had the opportunity to attend the awards to assist with meet and greet, offer their assistance throughout the event and of course, network! Level 3 Business Student Zak MacKenzie, Level 3 Travel and Tourism Student Isabella Ellison, and Level 3 Media Make-up Student Artie Firth brought their skills to the event and were recognised for their professionalism and dedication during their work experience. Their success was made possible through the support of the Work Experience Team and on the night supported by Melanie Dawson, Industry Placement Officer.
Melanie said, “Our students have worked really hard, engaging positively with employers and stood out as true ambassadors of Craven College. Together they have demonstrated the strength of collaboration and unlocking the potential of our students.”
Anita Lall, Principal and CEO of Craven College and Vice Chair of Skipton Bid added, “It was a pleasure to see our students supporting the Skipton BID Business Awards – they were a real credit to the college and behaved in a professional manner at all times.
“As a College, it is important that we support local communities and businesses and that we provide opportunities for students to gain real-life work experience. Skipton BID is an important organisation within Skipton, and I am pleased that our students were able to contribute to the success of the evening. I was extremely proud of our students!”
