Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship

Found in a large range of sectors across the hospitality industry, one of the most diverse industries globally. Employers range from small to large. Food and Beverage team members work in a range of establishments including restaurants, cafes, counter service, licensed premises, casinos, and coffee shops.

Food and Beverage Team Members play a key role in delivering excellent customer service within restaurants, bars, cafés, pubs and other hospitality venues. They prepare and serve food and drinks, welcome customers, manage bookings, take payments and help create a positive dining experience.

Throughout the programme, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to serve food and beverages professionally, promote products, manage customer enquiries and contribute to the smooth running of hospitality operations. They will learn how to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety while working effectively as part of a team.

Apprentices will work closely with both front-of-house and kitchen teams, building confidence in customer service, communication, organisation and problem-solving. They will also develop an understanding of stock control, sustainability, sales techniques and how to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.

On completion, learners will be equipped to work confidently in a range of hospitality settings and contribute to delivering high-quality customer experiences.
