Conservation & Countryside
Conservation and Countryside Management Degree students worked with refugees to plant trees on the banks of the River Hodder. The planting forms part of a larger scheme that aims to reduce flooding and pollution downstream.
The students organised the day as part of their volunteer management module and worked closely with the Darwin Asylum/Refugee Enterprise and the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. Both refugees and students enjoyed the opportunity to work together, share experiences and enhance the environment.
