Preparing you for the working world is very important to us, so, as part of your programme you will undertake work preparation activities that could include an external work experience, getting involved in simulated work environments e.g. Craven College Cafe or learning from guest speakers and industry visits. You will also be supported along the way by our Careers Team who can offer guidance with job applications, CV writing and work placement sourcing.
Preparing you for the working world is very important to us so as part of your programme you will undertake a unique industry placement in your second year which will support your employability in the long term and kick start your career.
What will I have to do?
Additional work experience to take you up to 315 hours/45 days over one year.
When will I have to do it?
From September 2020 to June 2021 around your lessons, ideally one full day a week.
What will Craven College do?
- Support you to find a high level, extended placement that fits with your career goals
- Visit you on your placement
- Liaise with your employer
- Provide financial support as required towards travel and/or essential equipment
