Clearing

Craven College Clearing 2017

Craven College has places through clearing for Aviation Management, including our Pilot Studies pathway, Business Management, Event Management, Hospitality Business Management, Travel Operations Management, Young Children's Learning and Development, Make-up and Prosthetics and Conservation and Countryside Management.

Clearing starts on the 1 July and continues up until 13 October 2017, and is a way for universities and colleges to fill any spaces left for the new academic year. It is part of the UCAS application process and provides prospective students who do not have an offer with another chance of finding a place.

In order to apply through Clearing, you need to have your A-Level or BTEC results, A Level results for 2017 are available from the 17 August.

How does it work?

You are eligible for Clearing if:

  • You applied BEFORE 30 June and were not made any offers or you declined all your offers.
  • You applied AFTER 30 June then you automatically go into Clearing.
  • You did not meet the conditions of your firm or insurance choice, and they declined you, or you declined any alternative offers.

Once you are in Clearing, you need to contact us at Craven College directly and not UCAS.

Next Steps

First of all, keep a list of your results and your UCAS ID and Clearing number which will be needed when discussing your options with us. You will then need to pick up the phone and give us a call to discuss these with us. We will review your application and get an answer back to you as soon as possible. Before you accept anything, check that the course is RIGHT for you and it is something you really want to do.

Once you have made your decision and have had confirmation from us, you will then need to go onto UCAS Track and enter your choice. If you haven't already done so, you will then need to get your student finance in place, take a look at our Funding and Finance for more information.

For part-time options you don't need to go through Clearing. Courses which have part-time places available include Garden Design, Initial Teacher Training, Business Management, Event Management, Hospitality Business Management, Travel Operations Management, Young Children's Learning and Development and Conservation and Countryside Management. For a part-time course, please complete the online application form and provide a small personal statement in support of your application.
