This course is for people with no previous or limited experience of painting and decorating who wish to learn painting and decorating skills.

The course will start from the tools and equipment, through to preparation of all surfaces and then applying paint and wallpaper to differing surfaces using different application methods. The course will also include Health and safety and theory based around painting and decorating processes, the standard is slightly more advanced than the award.

Units covered are:

Introduction to health and safety
Painting techniques
Painting woodwork
Applying wallpaper to internal and external angles
Applying decorative effects

To achieve the qualification you will be assessed against the qualification criteria
