Good English skills are essential to be able to succeed. Having an English functional skill qualification can enhance employability and open doors for further study.

Whatever your previous experience of English, we will support you to develop your knowledge and ability, providing you with transferrable skills which will help you at home and at work.

To achieve the qualification, you need to sit and pass exams. The exams can be taken at different points in the year and you can re-sit up to a maximum of 3 times in an academic year.

There are 3 exams for each level: Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening and you will complete mock assessments in each exam before being entered for the final examination.

It is expected that students will complete homework outside of the classroom.
