Do you need English Functional Skills for work or for a further or higher education course? Having this can enhance employability and open doors for further study.
This course will allow you to focus on the areas of English which you find challenging, knowing that you are confident with the remaining topics. We will support you to develop your knowledge and ability, providing you with transferrable skills which will help you at home, work or to apply for further study.
To achieve the qualification, you need to sit and pass three exams: reading, writing and speaking & listening.
You will complete mock assessments in each exam before being entered for the final examination. You can sit the exams when your tutor thinks you’re ready.
It is expected that students will complete homework outside of the classroom.
Entry Requirements
- Commitment to the full duration of the course is required.
- All applicants will receive an initial assessment to determine the correct level of functional skill to be working towards.
