Digital Skills are more important than ever and are needed in a wide range of jobs.

Digital functional skills are needed in the workplace so a qualification will really help you get your chosen job.

Within this course you will learn about the following, with a focus on the skills which employers will need.

  • Use devices, handling information and searching online
  • Creating and editing documents and spreadsheets
  • Communicating via email
  • Digital transactions
  • Being safe and responsible online

During this course you will work towards two qualifications:

  • Entry 3 Digital Functional Skills
  • Level 1 Digital Functional Skills

It is expected that students will complete homework outside of the classroom.

Entry Requirements

  • Commitment to the full duration of the course is required
  • This course is free to those with no prior Digital Skills qualification above Level 2
  • It is beneficial for students to have completed an Essential Digital Skills qualification and be able to apply foundation skills such as turning on a device, connecting to Wi-Fi, be able to use the controls on the device and also be able to interact with the home screen. However, you will have an initial assessment to ensure that you are on the correct course.
