Cyber security knowledge is fundamental in keeping your online data safe. This is a beginner’s course designed to give you an understanding of cyber security and the measures of take to prevent data vulnerability.
In this qualification, you will learn about cybercrime, learn routine protective measures to maintain cybersecurity and investigate the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing.
Topics covered include:
- Common forms of cybercrime and motives
- Tactics to defraud
- Protective methods to maintain cybersecurity
- Setting up user access
- Legislation and codes of conduct related to cybersecurity
- Ethical and unethical cybersecurity conduct
Entry Requirements
No prior knowledge of cybersecurity is required for this course. However, it is recommended that you complete the entry 3 in digital skills course first to give you a basic understanding of using a computer.
