Art & Design Level 1 Award
This course allows you to plan, produce and reflect upon your own art and design work.
Working with a project brief, you will plan and produce an art and design item. This piece of work will be your response to the assignment, brief or project set. Learn how to create work using sketchbooks and mixed media
You will plan and prepare tools, materials and equipment required to produce your art works whilst maintaining a safe working environment. You will be taught in well-equipped studios which have printmaking facilities, graphic studios with Mac Computers, 3D modelling areas as well as Fine Art studio areas to develop painting and drawing skills. Visits to art galleries and museums are also encouraged.
This course will require some independent study and research as well as the college course hours.
Entry Requirements
This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop skills in art and design. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.
