Has the pandemic left you asking questions about viruses and disease prevention or maybe you’re considering becoming an NHS hero? Craven College is recruiting for our Level 3 Applied Science course which will give you the necessary understanding to move on to a range of degree courses including Nursing, Microbiology, Genetics plus many many more!
Two of our students received the highest grade possible (D*D*D*) this year and are progressing on to University degrees in Biology and Genetics. Student Isobel Davies who has recently completed the Extended Diploma in Applied Science comments that: “The Applied Science course has given me the knowledge and skills to progress into the Health Science sector. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at college and the tutors have given me support and guidance that I will take forward in life”
Science Lecturer Simon Reed is enthusiastic about the coming year. “The BTEC Applied Science course we run covers a range of really interesting topics such as Diseases and Infections and Genetics. The course gives students the knowledge to progress to a large range of science careers including Nursing, Biology and Forensic Science.”
