Visit from Routes Puppets

Craven College was delighted to receive a GPLD grant (Great Place Lakes and Dales Acorn fund) as part of a project that Skipton Puppet Festival are delivering to build connections with local creative young people.

Steve Wright from Routes Puppets came to the College on 30 September and 01 October delivering his award-winning short educational presentations covering British values, Hate crime and Prevent using Puppetry. Over 300 students attended the event.

A half-day masterclass workshop was enjoyed by our Performing and Production Arts Level 2 & 3 Diploma students.

The students were also invited to join Steve Wright on Saturday 05 October to be ‘The Crew’ at the Skipton Puppet Festival Canal basin hub-site supporting vox-pop interviews and interactions with the public.
