Testing Times At Craven College

Published 24 March

Thanks to a whole host of staff volunteers, Craven College have tested well over 1,500 students so far for COVID-19 and ALL have been negative. Following the success of the Rapid Covid testing in College, the students are now home testing for the next step in collectively beating COVID-19.

Catherine Jackson, Student Services Manager says

‘The home testing kits will help to break the chain of transmission and help us to identify and isolate more asymptomatic people (people without symptoms) who test positive and are, therefore, more likely to spread the virus, at the same time as minimising disruption for those who test negative.’

Gareth Dixon, Vice Principal – Finance and Resources said

‘The students have been fantastic and their attitude to the whole testing procedures has been exemplary. We are really proud of the way they have embraced coming back into College and it’s so good to see them back making the most of our fabulous facilities.’
