Craven rugby students lent their support to a tag rugby tournament this week at Sandylands sports field where 8 local primary school teams competed as part of the Skipton cluster of schools. Our students were tasked with officiating the matches and acted as ref for each game whilst recording the all-important results.

Sports Coach and Tutor Andrew Leatherbarrow said: ‘ The day ran smoothly and panned out to be very successful. Teams progressed from both Greatwood Primary and Water Street Primary with all involved showing great sportsmanship and spirit. Our students will now repeat their duties for another group of primaries at Wharfedale Rugby Club on Thursday this week.'

Alongside this event, fitness students also completed a series of local tennis development sessions for local primaries at Skipton Tennis Centre. These sessions have allowed our students to build up experience of both umpiring and running matches for learners of different age groups.
