Craven College Catering has just received fantastic news from the Savoy Educational Trust in their successful application for a £60,000 match funding grant to support the relocation of Catering to the Aireville site.

The main aim of the Savoy Trust is to support the advancement and development of education, training and learning within the hospitality industry.

Catering tutor Will Jacques has worked hard to secure this grant which will support the redevelopment and modernisation of two teaching kitchens giving students the best possible opportunities at Craven College to develop their future careers.

Will’s aim is to inspire and excite students learning in an industry-standard environment with the opportunity to be involved in the varied practical delivery of catering functions to students, visitors and commercial activities.

Working alongside Facilities Manager, Chris Coleby, Will has considered the environment and reducing the carbon footprint of Craven College by ensuring the modern kitchen design is future proof and without the reliance on Gas.

Work is underway in readiness for all students starting in September.
