Royal Marines Put Public Services Students Through Their Paces

Public Services

Public Services students took part in a fitness session run by the Royal Marines.

The event, which was open to all Year One and Two students, was a circuit-style fitness session which had students completing exercises such as sit-ups, tyre flips, and hill sprints. Students spent thirty seconds working at each station before moving on in a clockwise fashion.

The fitness session was followed by a presentation covering life in the marines and the wide number of job opportunities which are available to students.

Bridget Slater, Public Services tutor, said: “The session was a great taster of what life would be like in the Marines. The weather was glorious which helped immensely. Overall, it was a very successful day, as it always is with the Royal Marines.”
