Public Services

Public Services student, Yasin Ahmed, has recently been selected for a chance to represent England in the World Karate Federation (WKF) World Championships in Chile this October.

To be selected, Yasin had to win all his fights against his opponents at a 60-kilo weight.

Yasin said: “I do it because I love Karate. Since I was young my dream is to win a world title. Now I have been given a chance to achieve my goal and make my family proud.”

Fran Simpson, Public Services Tutor said: “We are extremely proud of Yasin. He has worked hard to achieve a high level in Karate, training and competing alongside his BTEC Level 3 course, showing commitment, dedication and a hard-working attitude.”
