Santa Special Railway

Performing Arts

Performing Arts students have once again landed one of the best jobs at Christmas by being asked to return as carriage entertainers on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway Santa Specials.

The students will be singing, dancing and story-telling to keep the children entertained until Santa has been to see them and will be working throughout December.

Kate Molloy, Admissions, Careers and Employability Team Leader, said: ‘This is work experience at its best. The students were given the details of the job and have rehearsed and planned it in their own time.”

Giles Atkinson, Performing Arts tutor, was extremely proud. He said: ‘They are gaining valuable work experience acting in public and also helping with their confidence performing in an unusual setting. I am extremely happy for them.”
