Year 10 pupils from both South Craven High School and Colne Park High School visited our Aireville Campus recently to take part in our Public Services Schools Visit 2017. The day was designed to give the students a taste of what life could be like as part of one of the essential uniformed public services.
Activities included fitness testing, team-building activities, role-play activities, a CSI Crime Scene Investigation mock up and a demonstration from the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
This was a particular highlight with the students being shown the procedures the team would put in place when attending to a serious RTC.
The day ended with a quick fire question and answer session where students had the opportunity to ask about potential careers in the Public Services and opportunities surrounding the sector.
