Every year the Access to HE Diploma at Craven College helps young people who have just missed out on securing their university place. The year-long course provides students with the equivalent UCAS points of 3 A Levels and has helped students to access a wide range of competitive under-graduate degrees including Midwifery, Dental Therapy, Psychology and many more.

Student Zainab Kouser has recently completed the Access to Health Science Professions Diploma, after not securing quite enough UCAS points from her previous studies. She is now progressing to the University of Bradford to study their highly sought-after Child Nursing Degree and comments that “the Access to Higher HE Diploma literally sorted my life out. It was challenging, interesting and it got me exactly where I needed to be in less than a year! I thought my world was over when I didn’t have enough points to get to university last year, but now I have more than what I need.”

Programme Manager Jess Cornthwaite is equally enthusiastic. “The Access to Higher Education Diplomas that we offer are amazing, and often over-looked by sixth form leavers who have just missed out on their university places. We offer a variety of different Diplomas which serve a vast amount of under-graduate degrees, and we have a massive amount of success behind us.”
