Degree students at the Aviation Academy have been treated to a recent visit from an emerging industry star who gave her top tips about pursuing a successful career within the aviation industry. Chloe Hanlon, Passenger Duty Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, gave a very inspirational talk to learners about how the different roles she has taken has shaped her career to date.
Chloe explained she started off working for Swissport in roles such as check-in, then Cabin Crew for Eastern Airways and now a Passenger Duty Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport. Current duties consist of looking after both the customer journey and the terminal as well as set up links with colleges.
The next step is to embark on a new career at London Heathrow, progressing to a Passenger Services Operations Manager which is two ranks above her current position. This position will hold great responsibility, making Chloe in charge of all terminals and a team of 40 people.
Chloe’s advice to learners? ‘get yourself out there, get networking, volunteer and put yourself forward at every point you can’.
