Physiotherapist Lecture with Sarah Rennison

Published 17 February

Equine students Ella Stuttard and Enya Stewart recently enjoyed a taste of Event Management when they organised a lecture evening with Sarah Rennison, a Chartered Human and Equine Physiotherapist. The event explored rider biomechanics and the influence of the rider on the horse. Sarah presented the most recent scientific data as well as video analysis of riders to demonstrate common problem areas. She also demonstrated interactive exercises for use of the horse to help strengthen and straighten riders allowing those attending to see first-hand where problems areas could be improved.

Equine Tutor, Penny Ralph said: “The event was a huge success, the students were absolutely brilliant in their organisation and in the meticulous detail and attention they gave to the external customers with some fabulous feedback.  It was a showcase of the College and our students at their best. It was also an opportunity to engage with a highly respected industry professional who has now said she would be delighted to be an on-going representative to the College.”

One of the attendees said that the event was “Very informative, friendly staff and pupils.  Please run more events.  High-quality presentation.”
