Published 18 January

Horse Management

Our Equine department has achieved a five-star rating in its latest inspection.

The “Hiring Out Horses License” inspection, led by Craven District Council, focuses on a facilities, records, care, provision and standards of equine management. There is also an emphasis on advertising, welfare, and safeguarding.

The next is inspection isn’t due now for another three years.

Joanna Baxter, Centre Manager Animal, Equine Studies and Engineering, said: “This rating means a lot to us as it demonstrates our dedication to the horses on site and provision of care provided for our horses and ponies. As we are training students to go out into the industry, the staff feel this of paramount importance.”
