Health & Social Care Dissect a Heart

Health & Social Care

Health and Social Care Level 3 students have dissected animal hearts in one of their latest lessons.
The dissections were done as part of the group’s Anatomy and Physiology unit, which provides great opportunities for practical sessions. Students were able to dissect hearts and also look at a set of animal lungs.
Alison Lockyer, tutor on the course, said: “The lesson was a great chance for our students to get really hands-on whilst learning an awful lot at the same time. Dissections are a great practical activity which the students usually love taking part in.”
