Celebrations are in order for Craven College students receiving results across GCSE and Level 2 Vocational qualifications. 504 GCSE students have received results from English, Maths and Biology courses and many more have received results in Level 2 qualifications. Due to a last-minute decision by Pearson, BTEC results have not been released today.

GCSE Biology and GCSE English Language students have seen overwhelming success with 100% pass rates, whilst GCSE Maths students have much to be proud of with a 99% pass rate.

GCSE Biology student, Estelle Prout of Barnoldswick, has been awarded a grade 8 and will be going into full-time work before progressing on to a Degree or an Apprenticeship.

There’s been success for Savannah Troughton-Webb and Emma Dyson, both receiving a grade 5 in their GCSE Biology and progressing on to further study at Craven College.

Art & Design UAL courses have also seen a 100% pass rate for Level 1 and 91% pass rate for Level 2.

Ifrah Ashraf of Keighley received a Distinction in her Art & Design Level 2 and will be progressing on to the Art & Design Level 3 Extended Diploma. Theresa Savage, Head of Faculty for Digital, Creative and Public Industries said ‘Ifrah is a creatively gifted and hardworking student and has gone the extra mile to secure her full Level 2. She will join many other exceptional students who are progressing on their next stage of study’.

Anita Lall, Vice Principal for Curriculum & Quality said Congratulationsto all our students today. We are so proud of all of you – it’s been a tough few months but you have been brave, resilient, patient and amazing! Well done!’.
