Update: Following the lifting in of the new bridge deck last Sunday, additional work is required as part of the commissioning process to ensure that the bridge can be opened safely.
The bridge will now open Tuesday 20 July.
It has been announced that the Gawflat swing bridge (next to Magnet into Aireville Park) over the Leeds & Liverpool Canal in Skipton will be replaced in July this year.
Whilst the work on the swing bridge is ongoing, the public footpath which runs over it will be closed and an alternative route will be available via Brewery Lane swing bridge.
If you are a student at College and believe this will affect your travel journey to College, please take note of the plans in the image attached which show an alternative route.
