Media Make-up students were given the unique and exciting opportunity to complete their work experience for the well-known charity Fashion Show  Fashion Fiesta, which took place at the Crowne Plaza in Leeds on 28 November https://www.fashionfiesta.co.uk/. The students were recruited by Mollie Phillips, Fashion Fiesta ‘s Event Manager, one of Craven College’s  2019 BA (Hons) Make-up Artistry graduates.

The annual fashion show is the brainchild of  Shoo Social Media. The charities they have supported this year are ‘The Teenage Cancer Trust’ and ‘Fancourt Mental Health Fund’.

In total, five second-year students from the Media Make-up course took part: Megan Featherstone, Melissa Elsworth, Kiara Lamiot and Emma Roberts. They worked as make-up artists for the show creating the make-up looks for over twenty models. The students found it a really rewarding experience. Student Megan Featherstone said,

“It was inspiring to work on this show because they support new talented designers. We feel we’ve had an insight into the make-up industry which has really motivated us all”

At this event, Megan Featherstone was awarded ‘Best Make-up Artist’ by the judging panel (photographed) and her work will be showcased on H&N magazine’s website. https://hnmagazine.co.uk/category/hn-manchester
