The Craven College Higher Education team are delighted to announce they have gained SEFDEY (Sector-Endorsed Foundation Degrees in Early Years) endorsement for the FdA Young Children’s Learning and Development.

This recognises the Quality of the Degree in terms of quality of practice, cumulative experience, and academic thoroughness. SEFDEY stated that the Degree included a “wide range of modules, with a range of assessment types and worthwhile topics being included into the teaching. A strong emphasis on ethical research is evident within the modules, and there are good module titles such as ‘Working collaboratively with parents, carers and professionals and the modules selections relating to all very important aspects of Early Years care and education are refreshing.”

Higher Education Early Years Lecturer, Victoria Smith says “Achieving the SEFDEY endorsement has been a very rewarding team effort. This shows that the course we deliver values the quality of practice, cumulative experience and academic thoroughness that we provide at Craven College.”
