Well done to Ellie Connell, Creative Media student, who has recently received very encouraging feedback on her scriptwriting skills from BBC playwright Hannah Silva, after she recently sent Hannah a copy of her radio drama on the theme of domestic abuse.
Ellie’s tutor, Paul Nataraj initially contacted Hannah on Ellie’s behalf as she wanted to focus on Hannah’s work as the central part of her Media Studies research, but was having difficulties accessing some of the work as it is no longer available on BBC iplayer. Paul also included a recording of Ellie’s drama, which Hannah then listened to.
Hannah said ‘ Congratulations Ellie on your radio play. I’m very impressed. – I reckon the key to being a writer, along with reading and listening and learning, is simply not giving up.’
