Chayse and Karen have just completed the Brickwork assignments for their Multi Skills course and have moved on to carpentry and joinery, working on a range of skills including making mortise and tenon and halving joints. Karen and Chayse’s final project will be to create a stool consisting of ten mortise and tenon joints.

Carpentry & Joinery Tutor Paul Slack said:
“In only five weeks the Multi Skills students will produced a mortise and tenon stool consisting of ten joints – which is impressive in such short time. This will complete the course syllabus covering for Halving and Mortise &Tenon joints – then they will move on to the next stage of the Multi Skills course.”

John Murray an experienced full-time Level 3 Site Joinery student is currently working on a project to produce a beautiful Gothic door. The photo shows the initial planning stage of his project. Watch this space!
