Course Director for Computer Forensics at Leeds Beckett University, Emlyn Butterfield, made a visit to College where he delivered a workshop to Computing students on cyber security and ran a q & a session on everything the industry has to offer.

With over 8 years' experience as an Expert Witness and Forensic Manager in industry, Emlyn brings together the worlds of academia and industry.

Students spent the day taking part in a series of different activities ranging from encryption to lock picking. Students later learnt just how much data was available about them online and how they can prevent this from being used to hack their personal accounts.

Emlyn says 'Computer forensics & security is very niche within industry and not many students are aware of what an excellent career path it makes. Today was all about inspiring them to consider a career in one of the fastest growing industries in the world'.
