Computing Students Complete IT Maintenance Review

IT & Computing Level 2 students undertook a maintenance review of a classroom’s IT equipment, as part of their Work Related Learning Week.
Students were given a checklist of maintenance tasks to follow, which included:
– Testing software installation of applications that are required as part of the IT courses
– Checking cabling to the PC’s and replacing any damaged cables
– Securing cabling and NUC PC’s utilising cable management
Christopher Wright, IT & Computing Tutor said: “It was a great exercise for the students as they got practical work-based skills that can be carried forward into employment.”
