Computing Level 3 students have recently been to Leeds Trinity University for a ‘subject focus’ day.

Students got to explore the campus and got an insight on applying to university. They then took part in a workshop for the ‘internet of things’ where they used LED lights and raspberry pi’s to make the light switch on/off. They then proceeded to create a web application for the button to switch the light on/off.

Computing tutor, Farah Malik said, “The students thoroughly enjoyed the day at the university and have come away with useful knowledge.”
