First year Foundation Degree Young Children’s Learning and Development students have been busy preparing colourful booklets for a Level 3 practitioner in the workplace. The booklets aim to explain different aspects of child development for children aged 0 to 7 years old. To prepare for the task students visited Early Excellence, Huddersfield in January where they were able to take photographs of resources for use in their booklets.
The course has a quality mark as it is sector endorsed by SEFDEY Professional Association due to the links between workplace practice and college study. The booklets have certainly challenged the students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of effective practice and has further developed their transferable IT skills.
