Catering Students Visit Michelin Star Restaurant

Catering Level 1 & 2 students enjoyed a visit to Grade II* listed Grantley Hall, a five-star hotel near Ripon this week. We were fortunate to have Grantley Hall attend our Employer day in January, following the success of the event they invited us to visit the hotel.
Students were given a guided tour of the hotel including  Elite Luxury Gym and Wellness, the Three Graces Spa, and state of the art kitchens. They also met the Executive Chef at their Michelin Star restaurant – Shaun Rankin, and learnt about how the restaurant uses herb and vegetables from their own Kitchen Garden, along with some of the finest ingredients from across Yorkshire.
Tutor Richard Newall said: “Today has been a great experience for our students to see how a high-end establishment operates. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work in partnership with Grantley Hall in supporting work experience placements and possibly apprenticeships for our students in the future.”
