On Thursday 03 May, Nick and Steve from the Royal Navy came to Craven College to do a 'Ready Steady Cook' themed lesson with the Catering students. This was to show what to expect working in the Royal Navy as a chef.
There were 5 groups of students which had to compete against each other to produce a meal from a mystery bag of ingredients. Whilst the Royal Navy team offered them tips and advice, students had to produce a main and a pudding from the ingredients they were given and Nick and Steve gave the students feedback at the end.
Catering & Hospitality tutor, Richard Newall says 'It's good fun for the students because they get to mix with the different levels of Catering students and see what they come up with from the ingredients they were given.'
